Loads of food in containers

The Lunch Club is on every Thursday from noon to 13:30 at the Hive Community Centre in Dollar at Park Place, FK14 7AA.

While recommend paying online as the most secure method of payment, removing the stress of doorstep payments. However, we know digital payments aren’t for everyone, so we offer flexible options to suit everyone. That’s why you can choose to pay ‘on-your-doorstep’ in cash, by cheque or bank card. You can also set up a regular standing order with your bank.

Our drivers will be with you between 10:15 and 12:30. Someone must be home to accept delivery. We are unable to leave food unattended on your doorstep. If you know in advance you won’t be home, please give us a call. We can leave meals with a neighbour or a friend or family member at a different location if you give us 24 hours notice.

We recommend reheating the food in a microwave. All food is delivered in food-safe microwavable containers. Once defrosted (we recommend 24 hours in the fridge or use your microwave’s defrost setting), food can be heated in only 3 minutes.

If you are unsatisfied with your meal in any way, please let us know. We will replace the meal free of charge and offer you your next meal for free. We will also update your account to ensure you never receive that particular menu item again.

Yes, we work with local charity Dial-a-Journey who fully train our drivers to support our seniors. Their fully accessible buses are adapted to suit all physical needs and mobility issues. This includes a rear lift to allow guests to avoid stairs, a lower step/ramp to avoid a difficult first step onto the bus, storage space for wheelchairs and walkers and safety harnesses to allow a wheelchair user to remain in their wheelchair for the duration of the journey.

Our volunteer driver is trained and certified to support seniors with a range of mobility issues on the bus. We also have additional volunteers who come along to support the guests, to allow for one volunteer to 3 or 4 guests. If you or a loved one feels they need more direct one-on-one support, carers may join the trip for free.
